Iskes Towage & Salvage is a Tug and Workboat operator active in: - Port towage IJmuiden – Amsterdam port area - Offshore Wind farm support - Offshore towage, for instance Rig Moving
The Iskes group of companies was founded in 1968 when the Port Towage operation in Ijmuiden was acquired by Ben Iskes. Subsequently the tug fleet was gradually expanded and in the 90-ties Iskes also moved into offshore services.
When the first Dutch offshore wind farms were installed just outside of its home base in IJmuiden Iskes provided work boats to support the installation works. At its peak Iskes then provided some 12 work boats and personnel transfer vessels. Later on also vessels were supplied to assist with the installation of offshore wind farms in UK waters.
Also Iskes is providing vessels to serve as maintenance platform, for instance for Dutch offshore wind farms. A combination with Diving services can also be provided.
The larger offshore tugs of Iskes are also deployed for ‘Rig moving’ and towage of barges, etc.
And last but not least Iskes has at least one powerful tug always on 24/7 emergency stand-by duties out of its home port Ijmuiden.
